Terms and Conditions
Dear clients: Please read the following information before booking services with Andean Footprints Peru, a company legally incorporated by the Peruvian tourism authorities and agencies, operating from its office in Cusco - Peru. In accordance with the relevant statutory provisions of the Peruvian Tourism Law, its regulations, decrees and other applicable legislation in Peru, valid for airlines, hotels, restaurants, transportation, guides and other tourist services, you understand and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions of use, without modification and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, please let us know why.
Reservations:
To guarantee your reservation of tickets to Machu Picchu Sanctuary, train tickets, airline tickets, hotel accommodations and other Andean Footprints Peru services, we require the following information:
- 1. Full name and surname
- 2. Passport or DNI number
- 3. Nationality
- 4. Age
- 5. Sex
- 6. Category (Student or Adult)
- 7. Occupation
Payments:
To secure reservations for hotels, flights, bus or train tickets, guides, camping equipment, trekking, etc., and to cover our administrative costs, we require a 30% deposit as a first payment. The final balance must be paid in US dollars or soles at our office. Cash payment is recommended. We accept credit card payments, with a 6% surcharge on the total, corresponding to the bank fee.
Prices:
Prices are in U.S. dollars and soles. When making the final payment in cash, in US dollars or soles, we will not accept badly deteriorated bills. The Central Reserve Bank of Peru does not accept bills in bad condition for security reasons. We recommend that you check the condition of your bills to avoid any inconvenience.
Health and Disabilities:
People with medical conditions or disabilities that may affect the service should inform this information before the trip to avoid inconveniences. Andean Footprints Peru provides its travelers with an oxygen bottle and a first aid kit to prevent altitude sickness. However, each person is responsible for his or her own safety and must have adequate travel insurance. If a client interferes with the well-being of the group or the service, the guide may ask the client to leave the group without refund, except for the services already used.
Discounts:
- Students: To apply for the student discount, send a scanned copy of your university ID to verify its validity.
- Children: Children under age receive a discount. Please send a scanned copy of your passport or ID card.
Modifications to your reservation:
Any modification to the original reservation must be confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp) in advance. Any additional costs that may be incurred by our service providers as a result of modifications will be borne by the client. While we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate changes and additional requests, we cannot guarantee availability.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation, you must inform us in writing. Cancellation charges will apply according to the following table, calculated from the day we receive written notification. In addition to the above charges, airlines and hotels may apply 100% non-refundable cancellation charges.
- Cancellation with the rest of the group traveling: No cash refund. However, tickets already purchased (entrance to Machu Picchu, train tickets, etc.) will be issued and must be used on the date indicated (non-refundable and non-transferable).
- Last minute cancellations: Non-refundable, as all services are purchased and arranged.
Force Majeure:
Andean Footprints Perú is not responsible for force majeure events such as war threats, riots, labor disputes, terrorist activities, natural disasters, strikes, fires, adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance problems in transportation, etc.
Documentation and Health:
It is the client's responsibility to have valid documentation (passport, visas, etc.), proof of vaccinations and necessary medications. Any person with illness, disability or medical treatment must declare their condition at the time of booking. Failure to provide this information constitutes non-compliance and will result in exclusion from the service, without refund.
Insurance:
We recommend taking out travel medical insurance. Andean Footprints Peru does not include an insurance policy in its cost. In case of accident or emergency evacuation, all costs are the responsibility of the client. Our company is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, damages, losses, additional expenses, delays or irregularities caused by acts or omissions of companies or persons providing transportation, lodging or other services.
Complaints:
For complaints about the service, inform the guide or a representative of Andean Footprints Peru. Complaints must be submitted immediately in order to be attended to. All other complaints should be submitted to the manager at our office in Cusco.
